Jewelry Display | Honestly WTF
There are lots of different projects out there on the internet, but this is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen. I love the combination of vintage knobs, hooks and that beautiful frame. Once you add your lovely statement jewelry you’ve got a piece of art for your bedroom!
Nothing say “I Love You” more than a brains’ eating zombie or a rainbow candy pooping unicorn. Love these!
- Free Zombie Printable Valentine from Tally’s Treasury here.
- Candy Rainbow Pooping Unicorn Card from Hand Make My Day here. No Printable but you could make this easily and cover a piece of candy with a rainbow wrapping.
truebluemeandyou: I started my kids’ craft blog around last Valentines Day because I thought the Valentines for kids were so funny.
DIY How to Alter and Glitter a Sweatshirt with Downton Abbey Thrown In Tutorial from La Vie en Rose here. Two tutorials in one: how to take in a sweatshirt and a different way to apply glitter so it doesn’t wash off in the laundry. If you watch Downton Abbey you will get “Free Bates”.
DIY Two Beginner Jewelry Projects Using Multiple Chains. I’m grouping these together because they are both projects for beginners with really clear tutorials.
- Top Photo: Chunky Double Chain Beaded Necklace Tutorial from My Girlish Whims. Really good tutorial with a link I’ve used before on how to create a simple loop from a headpin.
- Bottom Photo: Triple Chain Strand Ombre Beaded Bracelet Tutorial from Fab You Bliss here. All you need is chain, beads, beading thread and a ribbon.
DIY Wire Your Name or Bow Bracelet Tutorial from Born in ‘82 here. Emi at Small Good Things also has a good wire name ring tutorial here. *If you want more info on wire gauges, pages of DIY wire jewelry tutorials and other wire projects go here: truebluemeandyou.tumblr.com/tagged/wire
DIY Six Layer Tulle Party Skirt Tutorial from By Hand London here. The waistband has a bow in back so no zipper necessary.
Paint Chip Christmas Tree | The Red Thread Blog
Each year I get super excited about putting my Christmas tree up, but I have to admit, it can feel like a huge hassle! You have to lug it out of the shed, shoo away the spiders, try and find your decorations, vacuum up all the buts of tinsel… bah, humbug! If you’re not keen on doing all that this year, here is a great ‘muss free’ solution - a paint chip tree! The best part is that you can make it in whatever colours you want and decorate with paper ornaments and there’s barely any clean up!
DIY Hanger Jewelry Display Tutorial from DIY Das Mach Ich Selber! here. I’ve seen this before using hooks on the bottom of the hanger, but I like how she colors the nails with nail polish. I used Google Chrome to automatically translate from German to English, but the photos alone are good enough.
This is a cool wallpaper idea!
